Sophie Huet

Sophie Huet is an accomplished education professional with a rich background in language teaching and learning design. Holding a PGCE from Canterbury Christchurch University and a Master’s degree in French as a foreign language from La Sorbonne University, Sophie Huet has been shaping educational experiences for 15 years.
Currently serving as Head of Learning Design at Busuu, she possesses years of expertise in curriculum development, e-learning and project management. Prior to this role she held the position of Lead Learning Designer, specialising in French language instruction.
Before her various positions at Busuu, Sophie Huet also contributed significantly to language teaching, being a lecturer for the UK Ministry of Defence, teaching in the state education sector in the UK as well as in private schools in France.
Armed with a diverse skill set encompassing analytical skills, management and research, Sophie is set to share insights in her talk that will delve into the science of cognitive learning and effective learning strategies, offering a unique perspective shaped by years of hands-on experience and innovation in education.
